The Overseas resolves the apparent incongruity by leaning into it. The Maltese cross, the symbol at the core of Vacheron Constantin's identity, appears on the rotor, the crown, and the bracelet's deployment clasp. The 4500V is the date variant of the Overseas — 41mm stainless steel case, 11mm thin, with the signature six-sided notched bezel inspired by the Maltese cross. The blue sunburst dial is the most recognized configuration in the lineup, its radial brushing producing a directional light response that shifts with every angle. Applied white gold index markers, luminous hands, date at 3 o'clock.

The movement is the in-house Calibre 5100 — automatic, bidirectional Pellaton winding system, 60-hour power reserve, 150m water resistance. The sapphire caseback puts it on full display. The Hallmark of Geneva is present — not merely a finishing certification but a production location requirement, one of the most demanding standards in Swiss watchmaking.
